Privacy

CURT is operated by Kailai Dong. Contact kdongtech@gmail.com about your information.

What CURT keeps

Signing in with Google creates an account containing your name, email, profile image, and sign-in records. CURT saves the teams and player details you enter, coaching knowledge, game attendance, substitutions and clock events, scores, coach notes, scouting material, transcripts, and generated notes. When you tag game footage, CURT saves the clip times, tags, and notes you add, and the name and length of the video file. The video itself stays on your device and is never uploaded.

Voice and AI

When you use voice, microphone audio is sent directly to Google Gemini to understand your request and produce a response. While a live game is connected to voice, Gemini also receives your coaching knowledge, team and player knowledge, scouting material for that game, the game so far, and coach and CURT notes from recent games. CURT stores conversation text, including the game clock context, but does not store microphone recordings in its application database. Scouting photos and pasted material, relevant team and player knowledge, and recent game context are sent to Gemini when preparing AI notes. Report generation excludes the coach notes written on that report.

Database records are stored with Neon PostgreSQL and the app runs on Vercel. Google Gemini terms and Neon privacy information describe their services.

Storage and processing regions: Database: Neon PostgreSQL in Sydney, Australia (AWS ap-southeast-2). App servers: Vercel in Sydney, Australia (syd1); pages and files are delivered through Vercel's global network. Voice and AI: Google Gemini API, which may store requests transiently or cache them in any country where Google or its agents have facilities, including the United States.

Processor and backup retention: Neon keeps a 6-hour restore history of the database, so deleted records can remain in that history for up to 6 hours. Vercel keeps request logs for about 1 hour. Google keeps Gemini prompts, context and responses for 55 days to detect and prevent policy violations, and authorised Google staff may review them; under the paid Gemini API terms Google does not use them to improve its products.

Your device and diagnostics

CURT stores offline games and unsent changes in this browser under your account. Other people who can unlock this device may be able to access those local records. Signing out stops the current game connection and asks you to resolve pending work before private local records are cleared. Clearing browser storage can remove unsent changes.

Operational diagnostics contain a category, error code, request identifier, time, whether a retry may help, and optional operation and opaque game/AI-attempt identifiers used to investigate failures. They exclude coaching text, transcripts, tokens, photos, and player names. Hosting infrastructure can keep its own access records; its retention must be included in the operator details above.

CURT also counts onboarding frames and guide completion, skipping, and missing steps. These records contain only a predefined event name, guide identifier, and step or frame number; they do not contain your account identifier or coaching information.

Retention and deletion

Abandoned preparation photos become eligible for deletion after 7 days. Raw transcripts become eligible 90 days after the game ends, after final delivery has been acknowledged and active AI work has stopped. Cleanup runs in bounded batches, so deletion is not instantaneous. Generated notes remain until the game, team, or account is deleted. If source conversation has expired, new AI notes are identified as incomplete. A game that is never ended, or whose conversation never finishes sending from the device, keeps that conversation until it does or until the game is deleted.

Delete your account from the profile menu to remove its application database records. Provider backups and previously processed Gemini requests follow the processor retention disclosed above. Offline devices must reconnect or have their browser storage cleared to remove their separate local copies.

Enter only information you are authorized to use, especially information about young players. Avoid entering medical, identity-document, or other sensitive details that are not needed to coach the game.

Access, correction and complaints

Coaches can see, change, and delete their teams, players, games, and account in CURT. Players, parents, and anyone else named in a coach's records can ask that coach, or kdongtech@gmail.com, to see, correct, or delete what CURT holds about them. Requests are answered within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
